Sunday Thoughts on Racism:

After being beaten to near death, and scourged so badly He could not see, Jesus, along with two thieves that deserved to die, was compelled to bear His own cross to crucifixion.  On the way, He stumbled and fell.  A man who would be identified as an African American today was compelled by the Romans to come up and pick up and carry His cross. This was God saying for everybody, I am a god of the red, the white, the Asian, the American, I am the God of everybody. Now, God did not intend 2000 years ago for racism and reverse racism to take over the churches.  That’s what its done today.  God is not a god for the black man only or the white man only. God is a god of all men, all kinds, all creed, all color, all economic backgrounds, God is the God of whole, He’s          the God of all of us, He’s the God that today still produces the same miracles       that He did 2000 years ago! He's the same God, we just treat Him                               different! ~ From April 28, 2024.             Sunday Thoughts on Fear:

"I’m here to tell you today 100% and unequivocally that Jesus Christ                   died on that Cross because He loves us, and He stamped us His. That               moment that Jesus died, He took our fears, He took our sins, and He                took our worries to that Cross with Him. It’s up to us to claim Jesus                      Christ King of Kings, Lord of Lords, to proclaim Jesus Christ as our                    Lord and Savior, and to proclaim that there is nothing that can                           go or happen in our lives that could cause us or should cause us any                 fear because we walk with a living God.  Jesus is alive today. Jesus is               alive in this church. Jesus is alive in your homes.  All you have to do is open that imaginary door and let Him in.  Your life will be changed forever.” ~

Sunday Thoughts, Is It Me?

Jesus interrupted the Last Supper, the last celebration of Passover with His friends before His crucifixion, with a startling statement.  He said: “One of you will betray me.” Now, the disciples had been told by Jesus that He would be delivered up, but they had not been told before that it would be one of their numbers. When faced with the news, the disciples were cut to the heart. Each man began to question himself and point fingers at each other. Jesus already knew that Judas would betray Him, but the statement allowed the other disciples to see the frailty of his own nature. This is always healthy. Our nature is healthy if we allow Christ to guide us. Jesus was loving to Judas to the end. Perhaps we see the difference between self-doubt and true conviction. There was one here that He knew was not being real, the others doubted, they questioned, they dreaded the possibility of it being them. Could you imagine Jesus sitting there on the floor, around the table and Jesus said, “one of you will betray me” and you have so much self-doubt in yourself you’re thinking ‘could it be me? Could it be?’ Jesus already knew who it was.

“I believe real conviction that comes from God leaves no room for doubt or question. It’s precise. And the convicted knows that the LORD has placed His anointed finger on their lives. That, my friends, is called complete conversion. Complete conversion into submitting to the will of an almighty God, amen?”
